The synopsis

Many years ago, in the imperial palace in Beijing, the Emperor lived Altoum and his daughter Turandot.
This, to avenge her great-grandmother who was murdered by her husband, proposed to all the principles that demanded her hand to solve three mysteries: who was he could not beheaded. They had already killed twelve princes.

The imperial palace, one day, appeared Calaf, a prince that given the unknown beauty of the princess fell in love.
Right there at the palace had met again after so many years Calaf's father Timur, became blind and very old and the servant Liu, disappeared during the war where they had lost the throne.

Despite all, the three advisers Ping, Pang and Pong try to dissuade Calaf decided to solve the three riddles ... and he succeeded.
The princess refused to marry him, so he suggested Calaf in turn a riddle: the dawn before she was to discover his name. And if we were successful he would be beheaded, otherwise they would marry.
During the night the slave girl Liu Turandot captured and tortured for him to reveal the name of his master. The young woman to show her love for Calaf killed himself.
